A new chapter

Same spot on the river. A whole new noosa sun.

For years you knew us as Noosa Sun Motel. The word "motel" never quite fit. Guests kept telling us they'd found spacious, well-kept apartments on one of the best stretches of Gympie Terrace.

So we've dropped it, refreshed the brand and renovated the rooms. You'll find king beds, new bathrooms, proper kitchenettes and the small things that make a stay easy, from Nespresso pods and free paddle boards to a heated magnesium pool.

Two ways to wake up by the canal

Every apartment takes a maximum of 2 guests. The Superior Canal View has one king bed; the Canal View has a king and a single. Both have canal views and a kitchenette, plus room to spare for golf clubs, bikes, surfboards or a kayak.

Real photos, real rooms. Most of these photos were taken by our manager on their phone, in our own apartments. We've only made small touch-ups, such as hiding cables and putting a picture on the TV screens.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Noosa Sun is a self check-in property. Check in at our kiosk any time from 2pm, and check out by 10am. If your room is ready earlier, we'll text you so you can check in early. Our office is open for a few hours each morning if you need help in person, and you can call reception on +61 7 5474 0477.

How many guests can stay in each apartment?

Every apartment takes a maximum of 2 guests. The Superior Canal View has one king bed. The Canal View has a king bed in the bedroom and a single bed in the living area, so two friends can sleep separately.

What's the difference between the two room types?

The Superior Canal View is upstairs, with a private balcony and one king bed. The Canal View is on the ground floor, with a private tiled courtyard opening onto the garden, plus a king and a single bed. Both are newly renovated, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette and new bathroom.

Do the apartments have cooking facilities?

Yes. Each apartment has a kitchenette with an induction hotplate, microwave, bar fridge, kettle and a Nespresso machine. You'll find a welcome pack of coffee pods, tea, cookies and milk when you arrive. There's also a communal freezer on site with complimentary ice.

Is breakfast included?

We don't serve breakfast, but your kitchenette has everything you need for an easy morning, and there are cafés along Gympie Terrace within a few minutes' walk.

Is parking free?

Yes. Covered parking on site is free for guests.

Can I charge my electric vehicle?

Yes. We have a free 11 kW Type 2 EV charger on site for guests.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. Our magnesium pool is heated, so it's comfortable for a swim in winter too. Sun loungers and a BBQ area are close by.

Can I use the stand-up paddle boards?

Yes, they're free for guests. See reception to borrow a board from the SUP shed and launch into the canal and out onto the Noosa River.

Is there a guest laundry?

Yes. The washer and dryer are free to use, and there's a shared freezer with complimentary ice.

Is WiFi free?

Yes. Fast, unlimited WiFi is free across the property.

How far is Noosa Sun from Hastings Street and Main Beach?

About 5 km. The easiest way there is the ferry, which stops 100 m from our door. Restaurants on Gympie Terrace, the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club and Noosa Harbour are all within walking distance.

How far is the airport?

Sunshine Coast Airport is about 30 km away, around 30 minutes by car.

Is Noosa Sun non-smoking?

Yes. Noosa Sun is a non-smoking property.

How do I get the best rate?

Book directly with us on this website. Booking online here is the cheapest way to stay with us, and cheaper than booking by phone. Direct guests also get priority room placement and priority for early check-in.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets aren't allowed in rooms booked through our website. We do have pet-friendly rooms available exclusively through Airbnb (conditions apply).
